Market Evening Wrap 17th Jul. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 37,077.27pts with a gap of 75.83pts. Later on index posted a high of 37,354.15pts where a net change of 352.71pts was recorded.While a day low of 37,076.77pts with net chage of 75.33pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 37,330.85pts with net chage of 329.41pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 466.04 million shares with net change of 63.49 million shares or 15.77% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 302.94 million shares with net change of 65.86 million shares or 27.78%. HASCOL, LOTCHEM and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 87.26, 24.86 and 22.15 and net price change of 1.59, 7.18 and 5.96 percent respectively.

Today, 343 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 236 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 15 companies closed in neutral zone and 92 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.PMPK, SAPT and PAKT lead the price gainers with net price change of 128.95, 67.01 and 55.05 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PMRS, ISIL and TICL remained top three price losers with net price change of -34.50, -27.29 and -9.50 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, CHEMICAL and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 93.00, 53.04 and 39.31 million shares respectively. Investment, FERTILIZER and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 57.51, 44.36 and 40.95 points, while on the other side MISCELLANEOUS, COMMERCIAL BANKS and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -2.46, -2.02 and -1.82 points respectively.
