Market Evening Wrap 17th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,073.69pts with a gap of 54.57pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,396.38pts where a net change of 377.26pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,775.76pts with net change of -243.36pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,848.68pts with net change of -170.44pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 340.63 million shares with net change of 122.88 million shares or 56.43% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 143.98 million shares with net change of 42.51 million shares or 41.90%. UNITY, JSCL and PRLR1 remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 43.92, 28.95 and 13.80 and net price change of -7.46, -1.05 and -7.94 percent respectively.

Today, 361 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 137 out of these closed with net positive price change while 25 companies closed without any price change but 199 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. PMPK, NESTLE and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 119.05, 99.00 and 39.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SFL and FEROZ remained top three price losers with net price change of -60.00, -30.00 and -20.51 Pkr/share respectively.

Today VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES, Investment and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 43.92, 35.48 and 34.84 million shares respectively. Investment, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and TOBACCO sectors have supported index by adding 13.46, 11.10 and 8.10 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -99.04, -48.82 and -48.14 points respectively.
