The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,165.59pts with a gap of 308.53pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,540.63pts where a net change of 683.57pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,165.59pts with net change of 308.53pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,450.31pts with net change of 593.25pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 510.36 million shares with net change of 101.94 million shares or 24.96% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 263.13 million shares with net change of 94.55 million shares or 56.08%. TRG, BYCO and PRL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 34.43, 32.42 and 26.73 and net price change of 6.67, 10.99 and 5.16 percent respectively.

Today, 372 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 270 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 19 companies closed with no change but 83 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SUTM, INDU and NESTLE lead the price gainers with net price change of 63.74, 52.09 and 50.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, PMPK and GATI remained top three price losers with net price change of -149.01, -75.00 and -16.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 107.01, 69.40 and 47.46 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 120.72, 97.68 and 73.42 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and SYNTHETIC & RAYON sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -8.23, -5.51 and -0.70 points respectively.
