The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,521.77pts with a gap of 347.10pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,806.98pts where a net change of 632.31pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,356.26pts with net change of 181.59pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,796.31pts with net change of 621.64pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 437.42 million shares with net change of 191.78 million shares or 78.08% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 201.90 million shares with net change of 123.26 million shares or 156.74%. WTL, KEL and GGL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 72.92, 38.31 and 35.97 and net price change of 10.46, 8.13 and 2.68 percent respectively.

Today, 382 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 251 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 23 companies closed with no change but 108 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, PMPK and LUCK lead the price gainers with net price change of 83.34, 55.82 and 35.48 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, GATI and TSML remained top three price losers with net price change of -68.00, -36.73 and -14.62 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CHEMICAL and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 128.33, 52.04 and 43.71 million shares respectively. CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 194.65, 149.73 and 45.33 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, LEATHER & TANNERIES and PAPER & BOARD sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -56.28, -1.56 and -0.63 points respectively.
