Market Evening Wrap 17th Nov. 2020

Session Recap:The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,614.89pts with a gap of 110.14pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,964.22pts where a net change of 459.47pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,599.46pts with net chage of 94.71pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,652.67pts with net chage of 147.92pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 150.33 million shares with net change of -31.08 million shares or -17.13% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 79.69 million shares with net change of -36.10 million shares or -31.18%. TRG, BIPL and SNBL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 9.91, 8.77 and 8.68 and net price change of 0.46, -1.88 and 2.94 percent respectively.

Today,334 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 179 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 20 companies closed with no change but 135 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. ILTM, NESTLE and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 100.41, 88.99 and 29.59 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, WYETH and GLPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -194.01, -33.77 and -19.54 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 26.94, 14.84 and 14.44 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 110.50, 47.45 and 15.03 points, while on the other side CHEMICAL, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -16.96, -15.30 and -11.75 points respectively.
