Market Evening Wrap 17th Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,970.66pts with a gap of 50.20pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,181.74pts where a net change of 261.28pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,555.87pts with net change of -364.59pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,636.08pts with net change of -284.38pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 387.25 million shares with net change of -17.86 million shares or -4.41% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 163.22 million shares with net change of 29.64 million shares or 22.19%. WTL, WTL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 42.42, 42.42 and 25.23 and net price change of -2.11, -2.11 and -1.48 percent respectively.

Today, 380 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 146 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 21 companies closed with no change but 213 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. ISIL, ISIL and MTL lead the price gainers with net price change of 29.01, 29.01 and 25.18 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, RMPL and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -200.00, -200.00 and -77.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and MISCELLANEOUS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 221.11, 122.50 and 55.56 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER and REFINERY sectors have supported index by adding 21.76, 8.38 and 6.33 points, while on the other side CEMENT, COMMERCIAL BANKS and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -68.96, -57.14 and -56.69 points respectively.
