Market Evening Wrap 17th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,444.46pts with a gap of -36.44pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,544.65pts where a net change of 63.75pts was recorded. While a day low of 48,115.84pts with net change of -365.06pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,157.63pts with net change of -323.27pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 1,117.42 million shares with net change of 180.77 million shares or 19.30% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 290.74 million shares with net change of -118.43 million shares or -28.94%. WTL, WTL and SILK remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 243.18, 243.18 and 188.57 and net price change of 4.43, 4.43 and 14.65 percent respectively.

Today, 388 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 113 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 15 companies closed with no change but 260 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, WYETH and NESTLE lead the price gainers with net price change of 82.45, 82.45 and 30.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side INDU, INDU and NRL remained top three price losers with net price change of -19.65, -19.65 and -16.09 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 664.74, 398.43 and 127.86 million shares respectively. FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, TRANSPORT and Investment sectors have supported index by adding 4.53, 3.94 and 3.82 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -61.33, -54.71 and -44.90 points respectively.
