Market Evening Wrap 18th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,842.30pts with a gap of -6.38pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,919.82pts where a net change of 71.14pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,471.45pts with net change of -377.23pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,539.85pts with net change of -308.83pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 216.01 million shares with net change of -124.62 million shares or -36.59% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 115.40 million shares with net change of -28.57 million shares or -19.85%. UNITY, MDTL and BOP remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 23.97, 9.86 and 8.33 and net price change of -4.07, 16.44 and -0.12 percent respectively.

Today, 347 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 99 out of these closed with net positive price change while 29 closed without any change but 219 closed with net negative price change at day end. IDYM, PMRS and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 43.99, 21.95 and 15.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PMPK, COLG and SAPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -144.00, -27.57 and -22.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 23.97, 22.98 and 22.23 million shares respectively. Investment, PHARMACEUTICALS and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have supported index by adding 30.74, 14.46 and 11.10 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -131.86, -117.16 and -76.56 points respectively.
