he Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,519.52pts with a gap of 69.21pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,612.95pts where a net change of 162.64pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,641.49pts with net change of -808.82pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 44,724.09pts with net change of -726.22pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 554.05 million shares with net change of 43.68 million shares or 8.56% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 299.93 million shares with net change of 36.80 million shares or 13.99%. BYCO, KEL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 57.88, 49.49 and 39.26 and net price change of -0.59, 0.49 and -6.29 percent respectively.

Today, 365 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 77 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 266 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, KHTC and ISIL lead the price gainers with net price change of 50.00, 32.51 and 27.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, WYETH and NRL remained top three price losers with net price change of -66.00, -46.97 and -41.88 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 116.30, 84.08 and 55.60 million shares respectively. CHEMICAL, LEATHER & TANNERIES and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have supported index by adding 5.10, 1.05 and 0.07 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -185.26, -118.94 and -85.30 points respectively.
