The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,804.97pts with a gap of -203.36pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,804.97pts where a net change of -203.36pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,804.97pts with net chage of -203.36pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,804.97pts with net chage of -203.36pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 261.95 million shares with net change of 49.23 million shares or 23.14% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 144.65 million shares with net change of 22.59 million shares or 18.50%. TRG, KEL and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 22.53, 17.95 and 17.32 and net price change of 7.49, 1.96 and -3.19 percent respectively.

Today, 319 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 143 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 18 companies closed with no change but 158 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.RMPL, NESTLE and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 250.00, 243.75 and 66.23 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PSEL, SAPT and MTL remained top three price losers with net price change of -72.45, -69.21 and -20.80 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and Investment sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 56.26, 35.24 and 31.45 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 46.84, 15.69 and 10.17 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -126.00, -64.48 and -38.63 points respectively.
