The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,747.50pts with a gap of 20.82pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,978.14pts where a net change of 251.46pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,596.81pts with net change of -129.87pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,903.23pts with net change of 176.55pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 491.76 million shares with net change of -51.83 million shares or -9.54% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 224.06 million shares with net change of -61.08 million shares or -21.42%. TRG, PRL and FFL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 29.41, 28.85 and 22.23 and net price change of 4.90, -1.00 and -2.46 percent respectively.

Today, 388 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 173 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 20 companies closed with no change but 195 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, NESTLE and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 389.99, 145.00 and 101.35 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, MTL and POML remained top three price losers with net price change of -35.00, -22.08 and -16.67 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 79.74, 55.07 and 42.10 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 84.70, 79.85 and 52.88 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -24.15, -15.99 and -6.29 points respectively.
