Market Evening Wrap 19th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,594.58pts with a gap of 54.73pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,699.92pts where a net change of 160.07pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,405.07pts with net change of -134.78pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,435.54pts with net change of -104.31pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 73.20 million shares with net change of -142.80 million shares or -66.11% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 38.91 million shares with net change of -76.49 million shares or -66.28%. KEL, UNITY and BAFL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 9.13, 7.26 and 5.76 and net price change of -1.03, -0.69 and 2.72 percent respectively.

Today, 273 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 83 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 17 companies closed with no change but 173 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.PMRS, SRVI and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 23.59, 11.87 and 11.05 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, WYETH and SFL remained top three price losers with net price change of -54.99, -30.00 and -24.99 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 12.72, 10.42 and 10.22 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 57.05, 28.77 and 8.67 points, while on the other side Investment, CEMENT and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -28.57, -24.74 and -21.77 points respectively.
