Market Evening Wrap 19th jul 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,977.43pts with a gap of 143.10pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,006.44pts where a net change of 172.11pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,751.38pts with net change of -82.95pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,873.26pts with net change of 38.93pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 320.92 million shares with net change of -27.60 million shares or -7.92% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 108.55 million shares with net change of -0.66 million shares or -0.60%. BYCO, DNCCR and SNGP remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 24.34, 23.20 and 18.53 and net price change of 1.22, 160.71 and 7.48 percent respectively.

Today, 383 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 199 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 16 companies closed with no change but 168 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, BTL and SAPT lead the price gainers with net price change of 32.97, 30.75 and 23.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side WYETH, BATA and KHTC remained top three price losers with net price change of -49.37, -28.00 and -11.72 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 42.97, 35.03 and 32.00 million shares respectively. MISCELLANEOUS, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 32.71, 30.68 and 21.86 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -22.46, -11.70 and -9.00 points respectively.
