Market Evening Wrap 1st Apr. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 29,253.49pts with a gap of 21.86pts. Later on index posted a high of 29,691.23pts where a net change of 459.60pts was recorded.While a day low of 28,902.08pts with net chage of -329.55pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 29,505.57pts with net chage of 273.94pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 193.47 million shares with net change of -28.37 million shares or -12.79% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 157.08 million shares with net change of -29.07 million shares or -15.62%. HASCOL, MLCF and KEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 25.78, 19.03 and 16.82 and net price change of 9.39, 7.19 and 6.79 percent respectively.

Today, 333 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 196 closed with net positive price change while 23 companies closed with no price change but 114 companies closed with net positive price change. RMPL, COLG and BATA lead the price gainers with net price change of 487.00, 99.00 and 73.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SFL and IDYM remained top three price losers with net price change of -61.49, -46.00 and -34.43 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 51.82, 31.57 and 23.46 million shares respectively. TEXTILE COMPOSITE, Investment and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 47.51, 43.81 and 43.47 points, while on the other side FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, TRANSPORT and PAPER & BOARD sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -11.30, -4.14 and -3.06 points respectively.
