The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,521.93pts with a gap of -49.55pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,735.84pts where a net change of 164.36pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,113.95pts with net chage of -457.53pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,676.92pts with net chage of 105.44pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 371.72 million shares with net change of -102.01 million shares or -21.53% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 268.42 million shares with net change of -68.28 million shares or -20.28%. HASCOL, UNITY and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 57.52, 47.50 and 28.43 and net price change of 3.94, -0.44 and 9.99 percent respectively.

Today,330 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 136 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 11 companies closed with no change but 183 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.UPFL, NESTLE and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 1040.00, 178.75 and 148.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side MUREB, PMRS and INDU remained top three price losers with net price change of -48.75, -28.99 and -27.24 Pkr/share respectively.

Today OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 64.25, 47.50 and 43.68 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 85.83, 49.02 and 37.05 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -31.12, -19.54 and -11.64 points respectively.
