Market Evening Wrap 1st Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,164.79pts with a gap of 53.86pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,401.89pts where a net change of 290.96pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,096.58pts with net chage of -14.35pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,377.26pts with net chage of 266.33pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 759.36 million shares with net change of 307.62 million shares or 68.10% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 371.74 million shares with net change of 159.38 million shares or 75.05%. UNITYR2, PAEL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 91.24, 47.45 and 45.77 and net price change of 14.88, 7.49 and 6.20 percent respectively.

Today,356 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 233 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 20 companies closed with no change but 103 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, COLG and NESTLE lead the price gainers with net price change of 787.00, 202.49 and 61.67 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, ILTM and SAPT remained top three price losers with net price change of -79.00, -29.00 and -29.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, CABLE & ELECTRICAL GOODS and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 74.53, 60.55 and 58.18 million shares respectively. CEMENT, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 52.95, 48.81 and 43.38 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, COMMERCIAL BANKS and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -23.25, -22.93 and -3.84 points respectively.
