The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,862.70pts with a gap of -40.53pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,862.70pts where a net change of -40.53pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,545.43pts with net change of -357.80pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,676.94pts with net change of -226.29pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 476.57 million shares with net change of -15.18 million shares or -3.09% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 219.02 million shares with net change of -5.03 million shares or -2.25%. SILK, UNITY and HUMNL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 42.71, 41.06 and 38.64 and net price change of 7.50, 5.56 and 7.25 percent respectively.

Today, 377 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 144 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 15 companies closed with no change but 218 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. ILTM, SAPT and SALT lead the price gainers with net price change of 128.71, 26.34 and 20.96 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, AKDCL and BATA remained top three price losers with net price change of -89.99, -33.69 and -19.27 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 89.29, 72.87 and 48.11 million shares respectively. VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and CHEMICAL sectors have supported index by adding 18.30, 12.03 and 10.05 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, FERTILIZER and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -71.39, -50.04 and -44.47 points respectively.
