The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 37,488.70pts with a gap of 157.85pts. Later on index posted a high of 37,741.15pts where a net change of 410.30pts was recorded.While a day low of 37,488.70pts with net chage of 157.85pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 37,650.57pts with net chage of 319.72pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 553.81 million shares with net change of 87.77 million shares or 18.83% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 328.10 million shares with net change of 25.16 million shares or 8.31%. HASCOL, TRG and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 32.52, 27.55 and 23.00 and net price change of -0.57, 4.89 and 1.76 percent respectively.

Today, 368 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 234 out of these closed with a net positive price change while 18 closed with no change but 116 companies closed with net negative change at day end. RMPL, ILTM and HINOON lead the price gainers with net price change of 200.00, 43.07 and 42.04 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, PMPK and SAPT remained top three price losers with net price change of -150.00, -79.85 and -73.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and ENGINEERING sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 83.24, 68.25 and 48.40 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, CEMENT and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 71.99, 51.29 and 30.20 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, MISCELLANEOUS and Investment sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -15.28, -1.62 and -1.08 points respectively.
