Market Evening Wrap 20th Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,525.35pts with a gap of -15.35pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,598.24pts where a net change of 57.54pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,126.80pts with net chage of -413.90pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,187.18pts with net chage of -353.52pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 189.81 million shares with net change of 1.27 million shares or 0.67% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 125.38 million shares with net change of 14.56 million shares or 13.13%. UNITY, TRG and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 39.72, 14.17 and 10.12 and net price change of 1.67, -4.48 and -3.47 percent respectively.

Today,328 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 93 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 19 companies closed with no change but 216 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. PMPK, WYETH and KHTC lead the price gainers with net price change of 58.99, 45.67 and 31.17 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SCL and IDYM remained top three price losers with net price change of -22.25, -19.94 and -19.89 Pkr/share respectively.

Today VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 39.76, 33.86 and 21.15 million shares respectively. VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES, TOBACCO and INSURANCE sectors have supported index by adding 4.34, 4.09 and 3.50 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and Investment sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -86.31, -66.94 and -55.66 points respectively.
