The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 44,753.88pts with a gap of 124.43pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,563.61pts where a net change of 934.16pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,694.21pts with net change of 64.76pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,499.46pts with net change of 870.01pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 308.17 million shares with net change of 59.92 million shares or 24.14% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 132.67 million shares with net change of 30.43 million shares or 29.76%. WTL, HUMNL and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 49.45, 24.77 and 15.61 and net price change of 10.96, 5.86 and 3.29 percent respectively.

Today, 376 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 279 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 10 companies closed with no change but 87 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, WYETH and PAKT lead the price gainers with net price change of 81.00, 55.01 and 38.88 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side IBLHL, TGL and HINO remained top three price losers with net price change of -17.57, -10.73 and -10.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 107.67, 25.51 and 22.79 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 200.66, 159.88 and 105.74 points, while on the other side CLOSE - END MUTUAL FUND, GLASS & CERAMICS and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -5.64, -4.77 and -2.04 points respectively.
