Market Evening Wrap 21st May. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 34,009.54pts with a gap of 76.73pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,049.00pts where a net change of 116.19pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,757.37pts with net chage of -175.44pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,836.61pts with net chage of -96.20pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 147.14 million shares with net change of -17.93 million shares or -10.86% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 96.32 million shares with net change of -10.84 million shares or -10.11%. TRG, HASCOL and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 18.38, 15.25 and 7.17 and net price change of -0.23, -2.16 and -1.96 percent respectively.

Today, 317 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 133 closed with net positive price change, while 17 companies closed with no price change but 167 companies closed with net negative price change. UPFL, NESTLE and SFL lead the price gainers with net price change of 682.00, 190.00 and 47.89 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SAPL and HINO remained top three price losers with net price change of -61.00, -55.39 and -25.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 34.30, 19.57 and 18.12 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 35.60, 20.27 and 17.55 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -24.92, -23.68 and -13.90 points respectively.
