Market Evening Wrap 21st Oct. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,081.50pts with a gap of 124.92pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,613.05pts where a net change of 656.47pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,030.60pts with net chage of 74.02pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,535.92pts with net chage of 579.34pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 661.19 million shares with net change of 168.52 million shares or 34.20% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 398.48 million shares with net change of 75.43 million shares or 23.35%. UNITY, PIBTL and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 64.48, 64.00 and 47.26 and net price change of 7.47, 5.44 and -0.12 percent respectively.

Today,360 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 241 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 105 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. PMPK, BATA and NESTLE lead the price gainers with net price change of 84.90, 70.00 and 50.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side GATI, SAPL and ILTM remained top three price losers with net price change of -39.00, -33.91 and -31.67 Pkr/share respectively.

Today REFINERY, TRANSPORT and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 71.44, 64.58 and 64.50 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 175.47, 136.59 and 52.78 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES, MODARABAS and LEATHER & TANNERIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -7.97, -0.52 and -0.24 points respectively.
