Market Evening Wrap 21st Sep. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,524.17pts with a gap of 19.41pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,551.15pts where a net change of 46.39pts was recorded.While a day low of 42,121.32pts with net chage of -383.44pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 42,174.13pts with net chage of -330.63pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 433.92 million shares with net change of -82.21 million shares or -15.93% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 231.11 million shares with net change of -100.62 million shares or -30.33%. ASL, UNITY and FFL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 58.91, 48.20 and 36.01 and net price change of 6.75, 1.44 and -4.55 percent respectively.

Today,342 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 111 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 14 companies closed with no change but 217 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.ILTM, GATI and MUREB lead the price gainers with net price change of 72.61, 42.43 and 20.86 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, NESTLE and IDYM remained top three price losers with net price change of -101.83, -93.33 and -27.49 Pkr/share respectively.

Today ENGINEERING, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 65.01, 54.14 and 48.24 million shares respectively. PHARMACEUTICALS, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have supported index by adding 10.84, 5.51 and 0.60 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -91.15, -56.51 and -45.94 points respectively.
