Market Evening Wrap 21st Sep 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,612.02pts with a gap of 83.81pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,833.14pts where a net change of 304.93pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,778.19pts with net change of -750.02pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,008.85pts with net change of -519.36pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 325.80 million shares with net change of 131.19 million shares or 67.41% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 132.43 million shares with net change of 57.16 million shares or 75.95%. TELE, WTL and TPL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 28.12, 26.43 and 21.44 and net price change of 0.23, -2.51 and 2.67 percent respectively.

Today, 382 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 90 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 17 companies closed with no change but 275 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, COLG and WYETH lead the price gainers with net price change of 104.99, 40.10 and 30.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, GATI and SYS remained top three price losers with net price change of -41.00, -32.99 and -27.37 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 101.87, 40.95 and 25.02 million shares respectively. INSURANCE, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST and MODARABAS sectors have supported index by adding 2.83, 0.25 and 0.00 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -144.37, -113.85 and -53.82 points respectively.
