Market Evening Wrap 21st jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,289.47pts with a gap of 50.80pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,370.42pts where a net change of 131.75pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,963.97pts with net change of -274.70pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 48,012.52pts with net change of -226.15pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 839.15 million shares with net change of 88.59 million shares or 11.80% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 227.40 million shares with net change of -76.96 million shares or -25.29%. SILK, HUMNL and WTL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 235.10, 60.36 and 58.45 and net price change of 16.94, -2.74 and -2.91 percent respectively.

Today, 390 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 152 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 19 companies closed with no change but 219 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPL, HINO and TSML lead the price gainers with net price change of 63.98, 29.91 and 11.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, WYETH and MEHT remained top three price losers with net price change of -98.00, -55.50 and -37.16 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 261.36, 149.29 and 61.37 million shares respectively. FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, Investment and TEXTILE SPINNING sectors have supported index by adding 17.07, 9.74 and 3.56 points, while on the other side CEMENT, COMMERCIAL BANKS and FERTILIZER sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -65.77, -37.18 and -25.67 points respectively.
