Market Evening Wrap 22nd June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,479.82pts with a gap of 44.28pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,794.87pts where a net change of 359.33pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,071.36pts with net change of -364.18pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,737.92pts with net change of 302.38pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 161.29 million shares with net change of 88.09 million shares or 120.33% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 102.13 million shares with net change of 63.23 million shares or 162.49%. UNITY, MLCF and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 11.54, 8.19 and 7.32 and net price change of -0.69, -0.40 and 2.73 percent respectively.

Today, 333 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 134 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 19 companies closed with no change but 180 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. PAKT, SFL and MTL lead the price gainers with net price change of 57.00, 48.37 and 44.38 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, NESTLE and IDYM remained top three price losers with net price change of -54.01, -50.00 and -32.19 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 19.60, 18.11 and 12.81 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 129.60, 74.35 and 42.53 points, while on the other side PHARMACEUTICALS, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -6.64, -4.94 and -3.86 points respectively.
