The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,587.61pts with a gap of 51.69pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,818.24pts where a net change of 282.32pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,088.38pts with net chage of -447.54pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,199.02pts with net chage of -336.90pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 500.09 million shares with net change of -161.10 million shares or -24.37% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 348.08 million shares with net change of -50.40 million shares or -12.65%. UNITY, PIBTL and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 61.31, 56.29 and 44.54 and net price change of 3.67, -6.30 and 3.45 percent respectively.

Today,345 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 109 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 18 companies closed with no change but 218 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. GATI, KHTC and OTSU lead the price gainers with net price change of 40.00, 23.96 and 20.40 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side BHAT, MARI and IDYM remained top three price losers with net price change of -74.99, -33.02 and -18.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and TRANSPORT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 73.57, 61.31 and 57.01 million shares respectively. VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES, CEMENT and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have supported index by adding 6.69, 2.94 and 1.45 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -108.17, -85.45 and -42.81 points respectively.
