The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 42,115.94pts with a gap of -58.19pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,160.96pts where a net change of -13.17pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,672.45pts with net chage of -501.68pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,828.91pts with net chage of -345.22pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 441.28 million shares with net change of 7.36 million shares or 1.70% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 249.98 million shares with net change of 18.88 million shares or 8.17%. HASCOL, ASL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 31.35, 30.90 and 29.80 and net price change of -3.01, 6.20 and -2.18 percent respectively.

Today,362 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 107 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 233 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.MUREB, IDYM and FEROZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 38.16, 37.87 and 22.14 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, SAPT and MARI remained top three price losers with net price change of -90.00, -41.51 and -32.09 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and CEMENT sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 44.57, 43.14 and 41.13 million shares respectively. Investment, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 25.25, 10.72 and 4.53 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -113.83, -79.13 and -66.20 points respectively.
