The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,031.89pts with a gap of 23.04pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,031.89pts where a net change of 23.04pts was recorded. While a day low of 44,788.17pts with net change of -1,220.68pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,597.24pts with net change of -411.61pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 583.45 million shares with net change of 257.64 million shares or 79.08% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 227.49 million shares with net change of 95.06 million shares or 71.79%. WTL, ANL and HUMNL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 91.05, 36.19 and 34.08 and net price change of -4.18, -6.67 and -6.58 percent respectively.

Today, 376 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 74 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 12 companies closed with no change but 290 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. GATI, PECO and BATA lead the price gainers with net price change of 34.99, 21.99 and 10.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, WYETH and COLG remained top three price losers with net price change of -110.00, -99.00 and -81.03 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 190.04, 46.45 and 41.83 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, TOBACCO and ENGINEERING sectors have supported index by adding 28.65, 9.72 and 6.71 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -72.80, -44.37 and -41.20 points respectively.
