The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 48,030.28pts with a gap of 17.76pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,154.56pts where a net change of 142.04pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,931.78pts with net change of -80.74pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,987.14pts with net change of -25.38pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 610.73 million shares with net change of -228.42 million shares or -27.22% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 209.25 million shares with net change of -18.15 million shares or -7.98%. SILK, WTL and KEL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 75.45, 48.19 and 37.41 and net price change of -2.80, -3.50 and -1.67 percent respectively.

Today, 392 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 150 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 220 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. UPFL, BATA and MARI lead the price gainers with net price change of 790.00, 48.95 and 32.72 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, SHEZ and TICL remained top three price losers with net price change of -31.60, -24.38 and -16.85 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 124.89, 90.99 and 55.30 million shares respectively. TEXTILE COMPOSITE, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have supported index by adding 69.84, 18.99 and 15.08 points, while on the other side MISCELLANEOUS, CEMENT and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -46.07, -32.88 and -13.63 points respectively.
