The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 37,953.76pts with a gap of 149.15pts. Later on index posted a high of 38,106.95pts where a net change of 302.34pts was recorded.While a day low of 37,540.70pts with net chage of -263.91pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 37,578.21pts with net chage of -226.40pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 379.28 million shares with net change of -26.23 million shares or -6.47% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 246.10 million shares with net change of -11.35 million shares or -4.41%. UNITY, ANL and FFL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 38.10, 31.22 and 23.44 and net price change of -2.66, 4.06 and 2.81 percent respectively.

Today, 362 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 118 out of these closed with net positive price change while 26 closed with no change but 218 companies closed with net negative price change. MTL, GATI and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 41.64, 40.00 and 31.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, WYETH and HINOON remained top three price losers with net price change of -100.00, -25.00 and -23.56 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TEXTILE COMPOSITE, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 41.41, 38.10 and 34.01 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, INSURANCE and Investment sectors have supported index by adding 26.93, 13.74 and 11.07 points, while on the other side CEMENT, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -116.17, -39.22 and -33.04 points respectively.
