The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,889.86pts with a gap of 16.60pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,946.45pts where a net change of 73.19pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,686.50pts with net change of -186.76pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,793.07pts with net change of -80.19pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 314.12 million shares with net change of -6.80 million shares or -2.12% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 122.87 million shares with net change of 14.32 million shares or 13.19%. BYCO, DNCCR and PACE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 34.06, 24.00 and 22.59 and net price change of -2.97, -38.36 and 4.76 percent respectively.

Today, 387 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 162 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 203 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, COLG and BTL lead the price gainers with net price change of 70.00, 47.53 and 33.05 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side TICL, KSBP and ATBA remained top three price losers with net price change of -21.51, -19.40 and -19.35 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and MISCELLANEOUS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 52.58, 35.84 and 33.72 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and TOBACCO sectors have supported index by adding 9.91, 9.02 and 7.51 points, while on the other side CEMENT, REFINERY and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -29.78, -17.19 and -13.84 points respectively.
