Market Evening Wrap 23rd June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,807.35pts with a gap of 69.43pts. Later on index posted a high of 34,072.97pts where a net change of 335.05pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,802.63pts with net change of 64.71pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 34,052.61pts with net change of 314.69pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 160.63 million shares with net change of -0.66 million shares or -0.41% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 90.07 million shares with net change of -12.06 million shares or -11.81%. TRG, UNITY and MLCF remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 11.82, 11.05 and 6.96 and net price change of 7.49, 3.88 and 2.41 percent respectively.

Today, 349 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 211 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 34 companies closed with no change but 104 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.MARI, PMRS and PAKOXY lead the price gainers with net price change of 28.67, 27.27 and 12.28 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, PMPK and PAKT remained top three price losers with net price change of -90.00, -80.00 and -30.01 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 20.98, 15.56 and 14.22 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, CEMENT and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 70.45, 35.89 and 34.13 points, while on the other side TOBACCO, PHARMACEUTICALS and AUTOMOBILE PARTS & ACCESSORIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -14.01, -3.39 and -3.37 points respectively.
