The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,302.31pts with a gap of 103.29pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,383.38pts where a net change of 184.36pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,064.38pts with net chage of -134.64pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,266.00pts with net chage of 66.98pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 354.42 million shares with net change of -145.67 million shares or -29.13% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 220.41 million shares with net change of -127.67 million shares or -36.68%. MLCF, PRL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 45.78, 27.94 and 24.36 and net price change of 3.53, 7.48 and -1.75 percent respectively.

Today,338 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 183 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 9 companies closed with no change but 146 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, NESTLE and BHAT lead the price gainers with net price change of 56.32, 50.00 and 24.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side GATI, BTL and HINO remained top three price losers with net price change of -52.00, -19.57 and -19.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, REFINERY and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 107.27, 39.16 and 26.00 million shares respectively. CEMENT, INSURANCE and FERTILIZER sectors have supported index by adding 113.64, 24.17 and 20.99 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -36.25, -15.14 and -14.57 points respectively.
