The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,869.18pts with a gap of 40.27pts. Later on index posted a high of 42,023.06pts where a net change of 194.15pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,755.69pts with net chage of -73.22pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,876.26pts with net chage of 47.35pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 582.79 million shares with net change of 141.51 million shares or 32.07% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 251.51 million shares with net change of 1.53 million shares or 0.61%. SILK, UNITY and JSCL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 167.49, 51.81 and 36.25 and net price change of 6.00, 0.33 and 7.47 percent respectively.

Today,354 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 150 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 18 companies closed with no change but 186 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, IDYM and KSBP lead the price gainers with net price change of 109.93, 40.70 and 20.04 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, ILTM and NESTLE remained top three price losers with net price change of -290.00, -40.78 and -30.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today COMMERCIAL BANKS, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 194.31, 51.81 and 47.13 million shares respectively. COMMERCIAL BANKS, OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 22.57, 19.56 and 15.45 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, ENGINEERING and CEMENT sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -47.15, -7.58 and -6.74 points respectively.
