The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,713.48pts with a gap of 116.24pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,939.39pts where a net change of 342.15pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,083.51pts with net change of -513.73pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,296.88pts with net change of -300.36pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 443.67 million shares with net change of -139.77 million shares or -23.96% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 131.20 million shares with net change of -96.29 million shares or -42.33%. WTL, HUMNL and TELE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 89.12, 29.22 and 23.40 and net price change of -1.01, -4.00 and -7.49 percent respectively.

Today, 377 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 112 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 21 companies closed with no change but 244 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. ABOT, SAPL and HINOON lead the price gainers with net price change of 47.26, 46.10 and 20.14 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side COLG, GATI and AKDHL remained top three price losers with net price change of -47.04, -38.62 and -29.99 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 170.89, 30.03 and 25.35 million shares respectively. PHARMACEUTICALS, CHEMICAL and PAPER & BOARD sectors have supported index by adding 36.14, 13.46 and 11.44 points, while on the other side POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -119.95, -83.48 and -52.84 points respectively.
