Market Evening Wrap 23th Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,143.57pts with a gap of -43.61pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,152.36pts where a net change of -34.82pts was recorded.While a day low of 39,314.28pts with net chage of -872.90pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 39,632.52pts with net chage of -554.66pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 195.43 million shares with net change of 5.61 million shares or 2.96% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 117.94 million shares with net change of -7.44 million shares or -5.93%. UNITY, HASCOL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 15.42, 15.31 and 13.32 and net price change of -2.40, -4.82 and -4.18 percent respectively.

Today,332 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 67 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 243 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. RMPL, SFL and NESTLE lead the price gainers with net price change of 150.00, 60.00 and 50.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side BATA, SIEM and SUTM remained top three price losers with net price change of -44.00, -40.00 and -29.04 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 33.80, 23.26 and 21.72 million shares respectively. CHEMICAL, LEATHER & TANNERIES and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have supported index by adding 1.58, 0.06 and 0.00 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -111.56, -57.84 and -56.48 points respectively.
