Market Evening Wrap 24th Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 39,789.58pts with a gap of 157.06pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,021.33pts where a net change of 388.81pts was recorded.While a day low of 39,631.07pts with net chage of -1.45pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 39,863.36pts with net chage of 230.84pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 174.70 million shares with net change of -20.73 million shares or -10.61% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 105.95 million shares with net change of -11.99 million shares or -10.17%. UNITY, MLCF and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 19.01, 14.52 and 12.67 and net price change of 2.03, -0.70 and 1.94 percent respectively.

Today,327 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 188 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 28 companies closed with no change but 111 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. MARI, MTL and BATA lead the price gainers with net price change of 32.67, 23.87 and 19.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side BHAT, NESTLE and RMPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -50.00, -50.00 and -50.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 32.46, 24.43 and 19.01 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors have supported index by adding 73.98, 57.28 and 23.61 points, while on the other side FERTILIZER, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and CHEMICAL sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -25.43, -4.16 and -4.01 points respectively.
