Market Evening Wrap 24th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,956.57pts with a gap of 55.87pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,118.23pts where a net change of 217.53pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,897.39pts with net change of -3.31pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,962.54pts with net change of 61.84pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 638.69 million shares with net change of 19.70 million shares or 3.18% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 150.16 million shares with net change of -87.04 million shares or -36.69%. WTL, PACE and SILK remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 97.55, 35.67 and 33.77 and net price change of -5.44, 17.09 and -6.77 percent respectively.

Today, 392 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 186 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 27 companies closed with no change but 179 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. ILTM, HINO and SAPL lead the price gainers with net price change of 55.00, 37.16 and 27.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side WYETH, SAPT and NRL remained top three price losers with net price change of -30.00, -16.00 and -8.90 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, MISCELLANEOUS and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 183.21, 56.90 and 49.05 million shares respectively. POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and Investment sectors have supported index by adding 45.73, 19.44 and 18.33 points, while on the other side TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -27.80, -11.50 and -7.89 points respectively.
