The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 46,014.61pts with a gap of 146.57pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,189.02pts where a net change of 320.98pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,014.61pts with net change of 146.57pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 46,087.64pts with net change of 219.60pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 470.02 million shares with net change of 39.52 million shares or 9.18% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 258.30 million shares with net change of 22.05 million shares or 9.33%. KEL, UNITY and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 36.61, 36.26 and 29.80 and net price change of 0.49, 4.16 and 7.49 percent respectively.

Today, 378 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 193 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 163 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. AKDCL, MFFL and FZCM lead the price gainers with net price change of 29.94, 21.73 and 16.02 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, MARI and JLICL remained top three price losers with net price change of -155.00, -17.89 and -17.84 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 76.69, 53.20 and 36.26 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, PHARMACEUTICALS and CEMENT sectors have supported index by adding 96.07, 51.25 and 48.42 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and Investment sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -30.73, -27.71 and -17.47 points respectively.
