Market Evening Wrap 25th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,943.82pts with a gap of -90.83pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,973.78pts where a net change of -60.87pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,657.78pts with net change of -376.87pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,709.63pts with net change of -325.02pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 168.42 million shares with net change of -27.30 million shares or -13.95% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 82.21 million shares with net change of -13.46 million shares or -14.07%. WTL, HUMNL and TRG remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 19.55, 13.41 and 12.54 and net price change of 8.75, 7.49 and 0.51 percent respectively.

Today, 335 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 96 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 28 companies closed with no change but 211 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, IDYM and COLG lead the price gainers with net price change of 49.27, 42.01 and 39.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, RMPL and MARI remained top three price losers with net price change of -350.00, -90.00 and -29.96 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, CEMENT and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 51.72, 15.02 and 10.16 million shares respectively. Investment, CHEMICAL and LEATHER & TANNERIES sectors have supported index by adding 13.60, 4.78 and 4.48 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, COMMERCIAL BANKS and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -87.06, -68.05 and -38.70 points respectively.
