Market Evening Wrap 25th Mar. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,688.64pts with a gap of 144.45pts. Later on index posted a high of 46,000.11pts where a net change of 455.92pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,645.81pts with net change of 101.62pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,726.16pts with net change of 181.97pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 470.38 million shares with net change of 60.71 million shares or 14.82% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 292.49 million shares with net change of 19.95 million shares or 7.32%. PTC, TRG and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 61.35, 39.01 and 38.40 and net price change of 6.20, 6.31 and 1.01 percent respectively.

Today, 351 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 160 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 18 companies closed with no change but 173 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, PAKT and SRVI lead the price gainers with net price change of 47.50, 46.33 and 31.10 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SFL, SUTM and NETSOL remained top three price losers with net price change of -54.32, -27.06 and -12.07 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, REFINERY and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 145.92, 68.79 and 30.63 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have supported index by adding 132.77, 34.44 and 30.91 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, FERTILIZER and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -71.97, -16.00 and -5.54 points respectively.
