Market Evening Wrap 25th Nov. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 40,054.41pts with a gap of 191.05pts. Later on index posted a high of 40,431.56pts where a net change of 568.20pts was recorded.While a day low of 40,014.18pts with net chage of 150.82pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 40,377.53pts with net chage of 514.17pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 213.37 million shares with net change of 38.67 million shares or 22.13% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 142.91 million shares with net change of 36.95 million shares or 34.88%. TRG, UNITY and HASCOL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 21.16, 20.85 and 13.28 and net price change of 7.48, -1.31 and 4.20 percent respectively.

Today,325 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 199 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 16 companies closed with no change but 110 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, PAKT and IDYM lead the price gainers with net price change of 50.00, 40.00 and 34.66 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side RMPL, WYETH and ABOT remained top three price losers with net price change of -89.00, -15.58 and -10.60 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 44.97, 20.86 and 18.71 million shares respectively. OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and COMMERCIAL BANKS sectors have supported index by adding 289.35, 87.61 and 82.40 points, while on the other side CEMENT, POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -34.96, -16.27 and -3.83 points respectively..
