Market Evening Wrap 25th jun 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,961.99pts with a gap of -0.55pts. Later on index posted a high of 48,040.10pts where a net change of 77.56pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,476.38pts with net change of -486.38pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,703.36pts with net change of -359.18pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 761.34 million shares with net change of 122.66 million shares or 19.20% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 262.50 million shares with net change of 112.34 million shares or 74.81%. WTL, BYCO and PACE remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 142.18, 53.81 and 45.16 and net price change of 8.22, -2.80 and 1.61 percent respectively.

Today, 381 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 139 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 18 companies closed with no change but 224 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, GATI and HINO lead the price gainers with net price change of 55.00, 40.01 and 39.95 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SAPT, ABOT and LUCK remained top three price losers with net price change of -37.50, -27.56 and -24.71 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, MISCELLANEOUS and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 234.53, 68.67 and 62.87 million shares respectively. TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, MISCELLANEOUS and FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS sectors have supported index by adding 26.98, 26.27 and 17.37 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -110.98, -92.63 and -38.76 points respectively.
