Market Evening Wrap 26th Jul. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,823.02pts with a gap of 29.95pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,930.54pts where a net change of 137.47pts was recorded. While a day low of 47,606.89pts with net change of -186.18pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,672.68pts with net change of -120.39pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 450.22 million shares with net change of 136.10 million shares or 43.33% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 91.32 million shares with net change of -31.55 million shares or -25.68%. WTL, TELE and TPL remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 127.89, 45.08 and 17.42 and net price change of 7.87, 6.72 and -1.35 percent respectively.

Today, 400 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 189 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 20 companies closed with no change but 191 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. COLG, PAKT and FEROZ lead the price gainers with net price change of 79.46, 30.99 and 24.29 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side WYETH, SCL and SAPT remained top three price losers with net price change of -37.60, -31.80 and -25.00 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 215.49, 28.01 and 18.59 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, CHEMICAL and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have supported index by adding 47.11, 17.10 and 16.01 points, while on the other side CEMENT, OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -69.30, -60.49 and -39.32 points respectively.
