Market Evening Wrap 26th June. 2020

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 33,898.40pts with a gap of 188.77pts. Later on index posted a high of 33,979.62pts where a net change of 269.99pts was recorded.While a day low of 33,867.74pts with net change of 158.11pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 33,939.49pts with net change of 229.86pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 198.19 million shares with net change of 29.76 million shares or 17.67% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 122.49 million shares with net change of 40.28 million shares or 49.00%. MLCF, PRLR1 and DGKC remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 15.20, 13.03 and 12.61 and net price change of 5.31, -32.43 and 7.49 percent respectively.

Today, 320 companies participated in trading at PSX floor and 153 out of these closed with net positive price change. While 22 companies closed with no change but 145 companies closed with net negative price change at day end.PMRS, SRVI and ABOT lead the price gainers with net price change of 33.87, 32.09 and 23.50 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side PAKT, PECO and ISIL remained top three price losers with net price change of -16.92, -10.79 and -10.01 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 45.01, 23.99 and 13.47 million shares respectively. FERTILIZER, CEMENT and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors have supported index by adding 111.81, 101.68 and 34.62 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, Investment and TOBACCO sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -65.66, -23.88 and -4.75 points respectively.
