The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,695.10pts with a gap of -31.06pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,757.56pts where a net change of 31.40pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,436.91pts with net change of -289.25pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,521.63pts with net change of -204.53pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 529.07 million shares with net change of 58.69 million shares or 12.48% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 321.41 million shares with net change of 28.92 million shares or 9.89%. BYCO, PRL and PTC remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 83.52, 56.43 and 39.61 and net price change of 4.91, 7.22 and 0.30 percent respectively.

Today, 341 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 113 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 22 companies closed with no change but 206 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SRVI, INDU and NRL lead the price gainers with net price change of 52.53, 38.20 and 20.90 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, PAKT and MARI remained top three price losers with net price change of -57.50, -14.98 and -13.12 Pkr/share respectively.

Today REFINERY, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and CHEMICAL sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 151.80, 102.38 and 41.74 million shares respectively. REFINERY, CHEMICAL and LEATHER & TANNERIES sectors have supported index by adding 25.77, 18.93 and 11.33 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, CEMENT and OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -107.80, -71.99 and -46.54 points respectively.
