The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 41,370.02pts with a gap of 104.02pts. Later on index posted a high of 41,876.79pts where a net change of 610.79pts was recorded.While a day low of 41,363.19pts with net chage of 97.19pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 41,850.47pts with net chage of 584.47pts..

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 487.12 million shares with net change of 132.70 million shares or 37.44% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also setteld at 285.91 million shares with net change of 65.50 million shares or 29.72%. MLCF, PRL and UNITY remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 45.78, 27.94 and 24.36 and net price change of 3.53, 7.48 and -1.75 percent respectively..

Today,369 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 255 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 19 companies closed with no change but 95 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. SAPT, NESTLE and BHAT lead the price gainers with net price change of 56.32, 50.00 and 24.99 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side GATI, HINO and SEPL remained top three price losers with net price change of -52.00, -17.43 and -15.44 Pkr/share respectively.

Today CEMENT, REFINERY and TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 107.27, 39.16 and 26.00 million shares respectively. CEMENT, TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have supported index by adding 242.04, 62.11 and 51.62 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, TOBACCO and SUGAR & ALLIED INDUSTRIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -34.53, -2.07 and -0.63 points respectively.
