Market Evening Wrap 27th April. 2021

The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 45,710.07pts with a gap of 27.30pts. Later on index posted a high of 45,937.68pts where a net change of 254.91pts was recorded. While a day low of 45,169.80pts with net change of -512.97pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 45,292.87pts with net change of -389.90pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 366.79 million shares with net change of -42.26 million shares or -10.33% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 172.20 million shares with net change of -31.86 million shares or -15.61%. TELE, UNITY and FLYNGR remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 48.15, 43.44 and 26.60 and net price change of 2.13, 1.94 and -26.21 percent respectively.

Today, 357 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 166 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 17 companies closed with no change but 174 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. NESTLE, ICI and PMPK lead the price gainers with net price change of 90.50, 34.55 and 32.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side SHEZ, POL and AABS remained top three price losers with net price change of -26.52, -14.72 and -13.79 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, VANASPATI & ALLIED INDUSTRIES and REFINERY sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 95.95, 43.45 and 19.75 million shares respectively. INSURANCE, TEXTILE COMPOSITE and REFINERY sectors have supported index by adding 20.16, 10.62 and 10.47 points, while on the other side OIL & GAS EXPLORATION COMPANIES, FERTILIZER and OIL & GAS MARKETING COMPANIES sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -194.32, -49.18 and -43.84 points respectively.
