The Benchmark KSE100 index opened at 47,392.24pts with a gap of 28.97pts. Later on index posted a high of 47,392.24pts where a net change of 28.97pts was recorded. While a day low of 46,869.10pts with net change of -494.17pts was witnessed during the day. While session suspended at 47,136.53pts with net change of -226.74pts.

Trading volume at PSX floor settled at 382.15 million shares with net change of 21.37 million shares or 5.92% on DoD basis. While trading volume of KSE100 listed companies also settled at 181.76 million shares with net change of 56.81 million shares or 45.46%. WTL, KEL and BYCO remained top three volume leaders with net trading volume of 31.63, 26.43 and 20.08 and net price change of -1.53, -0.54 and -2.07 percent respectively.

Today, 376 companies participated in trading at PSX floor, 102 out of these closed with net positive price change, while 17 companies closed with no change but 257 companies closed with net negative price change at day end. WYETH, RMPL and PAKT lead the price gainers with net price change of 78.30, 75.00 and 20.00 Pkr/share respectively. While on the other side NESTLE, SRVI and JLICL remained top three price losers with net price change of -50.00, -36.08 and -22.33 Pkr/share respectively.

Today TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION, COMMERCIAL BANKS and POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION sectors remained top three volume leading sectors with net trading volume of 79.01, 43.93 and 31.69 million shares respectively. TOBACCO, REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST and AUTOMOBILE ASSEMBLER sectors have supported index by adding 15.00, 9.25 and 9.14 points, while on the other side COMMERCIAL BANKS, FERTILIZER and TEXTILE COMPOSITE sectors have dragged index towards negative zone by -76.11, -35.19 and -33.13 points respectively.
